Veloretti - Bob's Cycling Journey

5.500 KM on a Veloretti

Meet Robert. Robert is an enthusiastic cycler and Veloretti fan. A few months ago we heard about his upcoming cycling adventure and we immediately decided to help him with his amazing journey. A cycling journey from Amsterdam to Gijon (ES) – a trip of at least 5.500 KM.

Robert got the love for cycling from his father, Bob, who introduced him to ‘real cycling’. Together they have been riding in Holland, France, Italy and Spain. When Roberts father past away earlier this year, Robert decided to fulfil his fathers’ last wish in a special way. Robert decided to cycle from Amsterdam to Gijon in Spain to scatter the ashes of his father.

Robert and his family lived in several different countries in Europe. To honour his family, Robert decided to visit all places where he and his sister has special memories. Starting in Amsterdam, some of the cities that he will visit across his journey are: London, Paris, Zurich, Milan, Nice, Barcelona, Madrid and finally Gijon. Oh, and he will also climb the Mont Ventoux whilst he is there.

For this amazing journey, we supported Robert with a Veloretti Caféchaser in James Brown. Together with our friend Luuk from de Fietskantine they build a hell of a bike that will take him all 5.500 KM’s with ease. We are very proud to be part of the journey Robert is making and love to see the photos of the awesome places Robert has been with our Veloretti!

You can follow Robert on his journey and support him via his website and Facebook page. Go Robert!
