Maintenance of a Veloretti bicycle is incredibly easy. Our design together with reliable components needs a minimum amount of maintenance. Simple. Easy. Anyone can do it.
1 Clean your bike
Look after your bike so it can continue to make you smile. Your bike is a collection of moving parts. When these parts come into contact with mud, salt and debris, wear and tear is inevitable. This speeds up the deterioration of the components. Give your bike some proper cleaning with water and soap once in a while. You will know when it needs some TLC.
2 Check your tire pressure
One of the simplest things you can do is the one that can have the greatest effect, and that surprisingly, people most often overlook. Paying attention to keeping the proper level of air pressure in your tires accomplishes many things:
- Makes pedalling easier
- Protects your rims from damage
- Prolongs the life of your tires
- Makes it much less likely that you’ll get flats.
3 Clean and lubricate your chain and moving parts
The chain and sprockets on your bike play a key part in the transfer of power in your legs to your wheels, making them go round and round. When they collect dirt and grit and get gummy, not only does it slow you down, but they also wear out faster. Keeping your chain clean and lubricated is one of the best ways to keep your bike working well.
4 securing bolts and nuts
Bicycles are held together by a lot of nuts and bolts that might wriggle loose as the result of intensive use. Maintaining a “tight ship” is important because loose bike parts can decrease the bike performance of could become a safety hazard.
